March 10, 2020 - Presidential Primary Election

YOUR PRECINCT LOCATION MAY HAVE CHANGED FOR THIS 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION YEAR.

POLLING LOCATION CARDS HAVE BEEN MAILED TO THOSE AFFECTED VOTERS. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT YOUR LOCATION, PLEASE GIVE US A CALL AT 208-359-6244. WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ASSIST YOU.

 

The March Presidential Primary is Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 8:00 AM -8:00 PM at your polling location.  No voting will be available in the Clerk’s office after March 6th at 5:00 P.M.

If you had us mail you an absentee ballot, we are open from 8A.M. -8:00 P.M. on election day to receive those. You cannot drop them off at any other location.  

 

Party Affiliation is important for this election. Attached is an explanation that should be helpful.

 

Last day to change party affiliation is March 13, 2020.

Last Day for Pre-registration is February 14, 2020

After this date, you may register and vote on election day in your precinct or when you early vote in the clerk’s office.

 

In Person Absentee and Early Voting will begin in the Madison County Clerk’s Office on Thursday, February 13, 2020. Our hours for Absentee/Early Voting are: 8:15 AM-4:30 PM Monday through Friday until Friday, March 6, 2020 at 5:00 PM. After this date you may only vote in your precinct on Election Day.

 

You may contact our office at any time for an application for absentee ballot, or I have attached one for your convenience.  The sooner the better on the absentee application since the mail does take a bit longer.  You may email your signed application to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or fax it to 208-356-8396 and a ballot will be mailed to you.  The last day the Clerk’s Office can accept an application for absentee ballot is Friday, February 28th at 5:00 P.M.

 

Sample ballots will be on the website soon along with the interactive polling place locator map which will help you find your polling place by entering your address.
