Job summary

The tracker will perform all duties and tasks listed below including various responsibilities not listed yet pertaining to the fulfillment of the job as requested by the Director. The tracker reports directly to the Director and or the JPO in cases needed for authorization of matters. The majority of the work assignments are to be completed in an efficient manner at the office. Paperwork deadlines occur often and as such the Tracker will need to maintain a high level of motivation in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Essential job functions

• Provide randomized tracking services for juveniles on probation.
• Be a positive role model and assist juveniles in making positive life choices.
• Administer random drug and alcohol tests.
• Mentors interns providing field training and support
• Maintains appropriate record keeping and reporting services.
• Conduct home, work, school and community visits of probationer.
• Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and maintain control in various levels of stressful situations.
• Demonstrate the ability to continually meet the mandatory minimum standards for the position

Additional job functions

• May be called upon to testify in court hearings.
• Will require flexible working hours with most hours being after normal business hours.

Minimum requirements

• Officer must have a valid Idaho Drivers License and is subject to a criminal background check.
• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Receive at least a “Meets Expectations” on most recent evaluation.
• Must not receive more than one written reprimand or higher in a 12 month period. 

Abilities required

• Ability to work on multiple tasks.
• Ability to operate computer and other equipment/smart devices in the office and type at least 40wpm with accuracy.
• Must be able to perform all duties/tasks of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
