Pay Range:      $13.00/hr starting wage  

Hours:             Part Time up to 15 hours a week maximum.

Job summary

The Community Service Coordinator (CSC) will perform all duties and tasks listed below including various responsibilities not listed yet pertaining to the fulfillment of the job as requested by the Director. The CSC reports directly to the Director and or the JPO in cases needed for authorization of matters. The majority of the work assignments are to be completed in an efficient manner mainly outside of the office in the community.  

Essential job functions

  • Supervise juveniles while they are working to ensure safety.
  • Arrange creative and meaningful service projects within the community.
  • Report any injuries or non-compliance of juveniles to the Probation officer assigned to that juvenile.
  • Contact juveniles and parents to arrange work schedules weekly.
  • Transport juveniles to and from community service destinations.
  • Maintains appropriate record keeping of community service performed by juveniles
  • Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and maintain control in various levels of stressful situations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to continually meet the mandatory minimum standards for the position


Additional job functions

  • May be called upon to testify in court hearings.
  • May require flexible working hours.


Minimum requirements

  • Officer must have a valid Idaho Drivers License and is subject to a criminal background check.
  • Receive at least a “Meets Expectations” on most recent evaluation.
  • Must not receive more than one written reprimand or higher in a 12 month period. 
  • Must be 21 years or older and graduated with High School diploma.

Abilities required

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks.
  • Ability to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform all duties/tasks of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
